Protecting your coffee discoveries

This policy explains how Coffee Spot collects, uses, and safeguards information while you review shops, explore the community, and share recommendations.

What we collect

We store the basics needed to run your account: name, email, profile photo, and the coffee shop reviews or favorites you create. Optional profile details, like city or favorite roasts, help us personalize recommendations.

Technical data—such as device type or approximate location—is used to keep the platform secure and surface nearby shops, but we never sell personal information.

How we use your information

Showcase your reviews, ratings, and photos to other coffee lovers.
Recommend shops, events, or creators that match your tastes.
Send optional product updates or community highlights (you can opt out anytime).
Detect spam, abusive behavior, or duplicate shop listings.

Your choices

You control what you publish. Reviews can be edited or removed from your profile. You can delete your account anytime from Settings (Danger zone), or by contacting our team at privacy@coffeespot.io.

If you link third-party accounts (like Google or Apple) we only receive the information necessary to authenticate you.

Staying compliant

As we expand, we will update this policy to reflect regional requirements (GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations). We’ll post revisions here and highlight major changes in-app.
